John Lehner, 67, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Harmony Cedar Rapids. No services will be held. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
John was born April 26, 1956, in Fairfax, Iowa, the son of Richard and Mary Ann (Kerich) Lehner. He worked as a salesman. John loved horseback riding and racing. It was a true joy to see how happy he was traveling with family and friends across America to watch NASCAR. John absolutely loved Christmas and being able to bring happiness to all with his thoughtful gifts. His humorous attitude and story telling will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his daughter, Andrea (Kristian) Doerrfeld; grandchildren, Lennon and Jovella Doerrfeld; mother, Mary Ann Lehner; siblings, Betsy (Brian) Evert, Bill Lehner, and Greg (Mary) Lehner; nieces and nephews, Terry Lehner, Abby (Tyler) Fannon, Rhianne Lehner, Samara Lehner, and Matt (Leah) Lehner; long-time partner, Beverly Karrick and her son, Keith Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his father.
