John Mathew Frasher, 72, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Per John’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; three daughters, Kim (Brian) McGlynn of Marion, Caryn (Andy) Cox of Dubuque, and Kristen (Tom) Miller of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Drew Cox, Adrian Freiburger, Owen McGlynn, Rian McGlynn, and Cortney Brown; three great-grandchildren, Max, Jude, and Harper; and siblings, Betty Peterson, Kathleen Crouse, and David (Irene) Frasher; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and six siblings.
John was born June 12, 1943, in Cedar Rapids to William and Lucy (Minis) Frasher. He married Sandra Weeks on November 4, 1961 at St. Joseph Church in Marion, Iowa. John was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 1362 while he worked at Rockwell Collins as a machinist for 37 years.
The family requests no flowers. Any memorials may be directed to St. Luke’s Unity Point Hospice.
