John J. Duncombe, 61, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. He was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his passing. John will be remembered in a private family ceremony at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion.
John was a kind soul who was liked by everyone who met him. He had an incredible knowledge of heavy metal music that he loved so much.
John is survived by his eight siblings, Dan (Pat) Duncombe of North Aurora, Illinois, Cathy (Ken) Graves of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Rosanne Duncombe-Elliott of Marion, Dave (Bev) Duncombe of Bettendorf, Iowa, Michael Duncombe of Silvis, Illinois, Patty Porter of Marion, Tim Duncombe of Davenport, Iowa, and Roberta (Kevin) Hunter of St. Louis. Missouri.
His family would like to thank the Hospice House staff for the incredible work they do and the amazing compassion they showed during this difficult time.
