John Comried, 90, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, Marion, formerly of Center Point, died at the care center Tuesday, May 18, 2004. Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, where friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett.
Surviving are nieces and nephews including, Harold and Dorothy Comried of Cedar Rapids.
John was born November 19, 1913, to August and Mary (Heynek) Comried. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters: Rose Thomas, Lucille Christie, Margaret Briggs, Agnes Moubry, Andrew Comried, Marie Comried, Gus Comried and James Comried.
