John Paul Boothe, 80, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services are planned.
John was born on December 29, 1944, in Chariton, Iowa, to Paul and Jean (Gray) Boothe. He graduated from Chariton High School and was later united in marriage to Marilyn Everett in Marion on June 29, 2013. Before retiring in 2015, he worked at Indian Creek Country Club.
John had a passion for golf and enjoyed reading, as well as discovering new restaurants. He often relaxed on his patio, taking in the beauty of nature. Whenever possible, he took pride in maintaining his lawn and working on landscaping projects around his home.
He is survived by his spouse, Marilyn Boothe; children, Chet (Jody) Boothe, Jenna (Ed) Michlee; grandchildren, Emma, Camryn, Reece, and Maggie; sisters, Judy (John) Williams and Linda Boothe.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be in the care of Marilyn Boothe.
