Joellen M. Redenbaugh, 71, of Brandon, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012, in her home. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Family will greet friends from 4:30 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cascade.
Survivors include 5 children, Donald (Sandy) Redenbaugh of Ryan, Julie (Eugene) McIntosh of Marion, Allen (Lorrie) Redenbaugh of Cedar Rapids, Theresa (Frank) Tucker of Brandon, and Robert (Teresa) Redenbaugh of Farley; 26 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Edna (Keith) Clark, and Raymond Davis, both of Dubuque; and father-in-law, Kenneth Sheppard, Sr. of Silvis, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Donald, Sr.
Joellen was born January 21, 1940, in Cascade, Iowa, the daughter of Bernard and Alberta (Neyens) Davis. In 1960, Joellen was united in marriage to Donald Redenbaugh at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubuque. She retired as an activity assistant at the Abbe Center. Joellen was a member of the AFSCME Union, and former President and Vice-President of the retirees. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
