Joe E. Gorius, 80, a resident of the Anamosa Care Center, died Sunday, May 4, 2003, at the care center, from complications of a stroke. Private family services will be conducted. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; his children, Mary Joe Cavalier of Ocala, Florida, Steve Gorius of Dubuque, Stan (Sondra) Gorius and Greg (Wendy) Gorius, of Highland, Wisconsin; and thirteen grandchildren.
Joe was born March 8, 1923, the son of Joseph D. and Rose (Jasper) Gorius in Worthington, Iowa.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice in memory of Joe. The family requests no flowers.
