Joanne Ruth Crew Howe, 75, of 410 12th Street, Marion, died Monday, July 14, 2003, in Mercy Medical Center, following an extended illness. Private family services will be conducted by the Rev. Mike Morgan. Arrangements with Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.
Surviving are her children, Mary E. "Liz? Taylor and husband David of Cedar Rapids, Thomas J. Howe and wife MyLe of Hong Kong and Margaret A. "Pegg? Huntington of Marion; a sister, Dianne E. Moorman of Calamus; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Hollister of Marion.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Sam and Scott Huntington of Marion, Damon Howe of Miami, Florida and Chelsea Mancuso and husband James of San Diego, California; a great-granddaughter, Isabella Mancuso, and nieces and nephews. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and her husband "Bud?.
She was born the daughter of Dr. Philip I. and Jeanne M. Reimers Crew on July 7, 1928, in Marion, where on April 25, 1948, she was united in marriage to Howard F. "Bud? Howe. He died April 7, 2000.
Instead of flowers, the family requests memorials may be given to a charity of the donor?s choice in memory of Joanne.
