Joann L. Kimpton (Lammers)
August 2, 1942 — January 9, 2009
Joann L. Kimpton, 66, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, January 9, 2009, in her home. Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Chaplin Dave Soldner of Amenity Hospice. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Lorena (Mark) Moes, Michael (Aimee) Kimpton, Cheryl Kimpton (Jose Luis) Morales and William (Falon) Kimpton, all of Cedar Rapids; seventeen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Betty Streit, Marjorie Provence, Donna Jean Tindall and Joyce Tindall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Blaze Kimpton.
Joann was born on August 2, 1942, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred and Mary Margaret (Hickey) Lammers. Joann worked for North Liberty Plastic as an injection mold operator and she also was a housekeeper.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Dana Fowler and Amenity Hospice for their loving care and support given to mother.
