Jo’ann George, 78, of 634 19th Avenue S.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Dr. Jim Coyle. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy (Steve) Stickley and Brenda Quick both of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter, Kelly (Bryan) Grulkey of Hiawatha; great grandsons, Logan Bradley and Brayden Grulkey; step great grandchildren, Keanan and Kierra; niece, Loretta Winchell of Hiawatha; sister-in-law, Margaret Caywood of Cedar Rapids; and brother-in-law, Steve Rock of Ottumwa.
Jo’ann was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Earl Caywood; and sister, Kathryn Rock.
Born on January 19, 1931, in Hedrick, Iowa, Jo’ann was the daughter of Guy and Nita (Burtlow) Henry.
Jo’ann was very loving and caring to her grandchildren.
