JoAnn I. Boring Koch, 51, of Central City, died in her home Saturday, October 16, 2004, after fighting a courageous battle with COPD. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 20, 2004,) at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Burial will be Saturday (October 23) in Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.

Survivors include her partner of ten years, Ron Koch of Central City; her children, Amy (Gabe) Robinson of Cedar Rapids, Aaron (Tammie) Chrystal of Marion and Ashley Schulte of Cedar Rapids; her brothers and sisters, Sharon (Dan) Reiter of Coggon, Marilyn Gillis of Cedar Rapids, Jan Coleman of Coggon, Joe Haas of Cedar Rapids, Mary (Terry) Moroney of Masonville and John Haas and friend Julie of Coggon; and four grandchildren, Kaitlin, Cole and Dylan Robinson and Tyler Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

JoAnn was born August 31, 1953, the daughter of Eugene and Rita McNamara Haas in Anamosa, Iowa. She was a longtime bartender. JoAnn was Catholic in faith and a member of the Cedar Rapids Moose Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
