Jimmy Wayne Burrows, 52, of Central City, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at the Hiawatha Care Center, Hiawatha. Celebration of Life Open House: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at the American Legion in Central City.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Karen of Central City; children Laura Burrows of Oklahoma City, and Joshua Burrows of Des Moines; his father, J.W. Burrows of Sun City West, AZ; and two brothers, John Burrows of Aurora, IL, and Randy Burrows of Ada, MI.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Jimmy was born on May 12, 1961, in Peoria, IL, the son of J.W. and Janet (Mills) Burrows. On October 2nd, 1982, he was united in marriage to Karen McAlister, in Elmwood, IL. Jimmy earned his Master’s in Business Administration from St. Ambrose University, and was a Quality Assurance Engineer for Rockwell Collins. Jimmy enjoyed golfing and camping, Iowa Women’s Basketball, the St. Louis Cardinals, and fishing trips in Minnesota.
