Jill Marie Woods, 52, of Springville, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016. Visitation: 3:30 – 7:30 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion with a Scripture Service beginning at 3 p.m. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Springville. Burial: Springville Cemetery, Springville.
Survivors include her husband, Al Woods of Springville; her daughters, Stephanie (John) Van Roekel of West Des Moines, Ali Woods of Windsor Heights; her granddaughters, Holland and Heide Van Roekel of West Des Moines; her mother, Betty Bollard of Pocahontas; mother-in-law, Shirley Woods; her siblings, Joan Dewall, Jer Bollard, John (Dawn) Bollard, Jim (Susanne) Bollard, Jeff (Betty) Bollard; brother-in-laws, Mark (Laurie) Woods, John Woods; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hank Bollard; father-in-law, James Woods; and sister-in-law, Lori Bollard.
Jill was born September 4, 1963 in Pocahontas, Iowa to Hank and Betty (Hudek) Bollard. She married Al Woods on September 3, 1988 in Cedar Rapids. Jill was an active member in the Springville community. She was employed at the Springville Co-Operative Telephone Association and owned Woody’s One Stop in Springville from 2002-2012. Jill was a member of the Springville Legion Auxiliary and St. Isidore Catholic Church. She loved her Springville Orioles but her greatest loves of all were her family and friends. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Springville Sports Boosters and Unity Point Hospice.
