Jerry Lee Watt (Watt)

Jerry Watt was born February 21, 1945 in Manchester, IA, the son of Earl and Elaine (Sites) Watt, Jr. He served in the United States Navy. Jerry was united in marriage to Beth Trenary on May 24, 1969 in Manchester, IA.; they later divorced. He was married to LeeAnn in 1981; she preceded him in death in 2007. In June 2013, Jerry and Beth Remarried. He was employed at John Deere for 26 years as a supervisor, retiring in 2001. Jerry was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He was a master mushroom and ginseng harvester. Most of all, he was a devoted family man.

Jerry passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer at his home at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, LeeAnn.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Beth of Elk Run Heights; 2 sons, Shannon Watt of Elk Run Heights, and David (Patty Brimmer) Watt of Elk Run Heights; a step-daughter, Denise (Rick) Pettinger; 2 step-sons, Rick (Melaine Frost) Duggan of LaPort City and Rodney Duggan of Elk Run Heights; 3 step-grandchildren, Brent Barth, Nicole Pettinger and Mikal Duggan; a step-great-grandchild and a brother Randy West of Dundee, IA. Jerry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
