Jerry A. Turner, 78, of Manchester went home to be with the Lord, February 13, 2012.
Graveside Services will be held later in the spring. Arrangements were handled by Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Manchester.
Jerry was born January 1, 1934, the son of Ben and Alberta (Hamlin) Turner of Manchester. He graduated from Strawberry Point High School and joined the Army during the Korean War.
Jerry will be most remembered for his smile and known for owning Turner’s DX in Manchester, working at Collins Radio and as a school bus driver. Jerry was married twice.
Jerry is survived by his sister, Margaret Glass of South Carolina, his ex-wife, Betty Jones of Monticello, and several niece’s and nephew’s.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Alberta Turner, and a son, Leonard who passed away in 2009 of Lou Gehrigs disease.
