Jerry “Toad” Lindauer, 79, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at The Marietta’s Place, in Manchester. Visitation for Jerry will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, Scripture Service will begin at 3:30 p.m., with Reverend Gabriel Anderson officiating. All services will be conducted at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester. Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.

Jerry was born on February 18, 1943, in Earlville, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Cecelia (Oberbroeckling) Lindauer. Jerry married Pamella “Pam” Peyton on November 24, 1981, in Galena, Illinois; four children were blessed into this union. He was employed by Elk Ready Mix and Bard Concrete for 44 years, until his retirement in 2008. Jerry was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester. He enjoyed mowing lawn and would spend hours on his lawn mower, tinkering on things out in the garage or sitting out on the front deck. Most of all he loved riding his motorcycle and traveling all over with his wife and family. Jerry will be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pam Lindauer; children, Tim (Vicki) Lindauer of Manchester, Tammie (Mike) Ahlers of Longview, Texas, Teena (Dion) Peyton of Manchester, Troy Lindauer of Granger, Iowa; grandchildren, Jacob Lindauer, Noah (Reese) Lindauer, Paighton Lindauer, Ryan (Carolyn) Ahlers, Allison Ahlers, Bret (JoDee) Fisher, Trey Williams, Lindsay (Keenan) McQuillen, Leah Rai Lindauer; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Jaiden, Lillian, Anabelle, Rosalee, Axl, Wrenlee, and a baby girl due in June; and his siblings, Pat Fangman of Elkader, Iowa, Joanne (Dave) Tegeler of Dyersville, Iowa, Virgil (Anna Mae) Lindauer of Manchester, Lindy (Merlin) Errthum of Manchester, Joyce (Dave) Miller of Manchester, Ronnie (Diane) Lindauer Robins, Iowa, and brothers-in-law, Jack (Ruth) Peyton and Mike (Deb) Peyton both of Manchester, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Cecelia Lindauer; his in-laws, Jack and Phyllis Peyton; brother-in-law, Barney Fangman.
