Jerry Rowray, 66, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025. The family will host a celebration of life from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 2, 2025, at the Hiawatha Community Center, 101 Emmons Street, Hiawatha, Iowa.

Jerry was born on July 9, 1958, in Cedar Rapids to Jack and Charlotte (Meyer) Rowray. He attended Jefferson High School and went on to serve honorably in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. On July 12, 1979, he married Robin Kay Smith. Jerry owned multiple businesses in Cedar Rapids before retiring from the City of Hiawatha after 12 years as maintenance coordinator. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, camping, and woodworking.

Survivors include his children, Shaleen (Josh) Ague of Cedar Rapids, Gary (Delores) Rowray of Fairfax, Iowa, and Dustin (Nikki) Rowray of Marion, Iowa; six grandchildren, Tavin and Jersee Ague, Maya and Simon Rowray, and Aiden and Hudson Rowray; former spouse, Robin Rowray of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Deb Wellington of Cedar Rapids, Jeff (Lisa) Rowray of Albany, Oregon, and Teresa (Tim) Jamison of Lisbon, Iowa; his beloved dog, Tank; and his best friend, Clay Parker of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
