Jerry W. Pierce

Jerry W. Pierce, 72, of 3072 Stone Creek Ct., died Thursday, November 29, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center, following a short illness. Per Jerry’s request there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis of Marion; his daughter, Kristie (Jim) Frank of Savage, Minnesota; his sister, Phyllis (Bob) Fink of Banning, California; and two grandchildren, Michael and Danny Donough.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia.
Jerry was born July 10, 1935, the son of Howard and Maxine (Witmer) Pierce in Des Moines. He received his B.A.S. degree from the University of Iowa. On December 3, 1966, he married Phyllis Parrett in Las Vegas, Nevada. For many years Jerry worked for the Provident Insurance Company in Los Angeles, California, in the administrative group services division.
