Jerry Lee Burroughs Jr., 41, of Marion, died Thursday, January 19, 2012. Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home on Sunday. Private inurnment: Shiloh Cemetery, Hiawatha, at a later date.
Survivors include his parents, Jerry Sr. and Barb Burroughs of Marion; three children, Kelci of Davenport, and Austin and Tristin, both of Marion; grandmother, Helen Endbery of South Dakota; sister, Misty (Aaron) VanMilligan of Marion; brother, Jason “Buck” (Rikka) Burroughs of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eleanor Engbretson; grandfathers, Ray Mattson, and Ray (Wilma) Burroughs; and uncle, Robert Mattson.
Jerry was born December 6, 1970, in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Linn Mar High School in 1989. Jerry enjoyed golf, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jerry memory.
