Jerry L. Burmeister

Jerry L. Burmeister, 63, of Springville, died Saturday, January 1, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, following a long illness. Services: 12 noon Tuesday, January 4, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Rodney Underwood. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Springville Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Virginia Burmeister and his brother Kevin Burmeister, both of Springville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence, in June of 1994.
Jerry was born April 18, 1941, the son of Lawrence H. and Virginia E. (Hunter) Burmeister in Davenport. He graduated from Springville High School in 1960. Jerry farmed in the Springville area for his entire life.
