Jerline D. Steggall, 69, of Ely, died Saturday, January 7, 2006, in her home following a short illness. A private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include her mother, Doris; her children, Richard (Linda) Steggall of Ely, John Steggall of Ely, Cindy (Steve) Bye of Renton, Washington, Patti (Curt) Hagen of Delavan, Wisconsin, and Linda (Jeff) Counter of Van Horne.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kurtis, Joshua, and Robby Steggall, Chuck and Nick Steggall, Christie and Angela Lucerilli, and Erin and Derek Counter; and a brother William and Sharon Brimmer Mote of Hereford, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her father, William; her husband, Richard; and a granddaughter, Katie Lynn Counter.
Jerline was born June 10, 1936, in Central City, Iowa, the daughter of William I and Doris (O?Connor) Mote. On October 17, 1953, she was united in marriage to Richard Steggall. He died on December 25, 1996. She was an Avon representative for 25 years where she was in the President?s Club. She also owned the Unique Antique Shop for 20 years.
