Jergan Jay Ratashak

Jergan Jay Ratashak, 40, of 844 12th St. NE, formerly of Ames, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at Pinicon Ridge Park in Central City. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Guests are requested to dress casually to honor Jergan. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. An informal gathering will be hosted by the family following the memorial service at a location to be announced the day of services.
Survivors include his fiancé, Tammy LeMaster and his cat, Sassy, of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Shirley Ratashak of Cedar Rapids; sister, Rhonda (Todd) Kibsgaard of Marion; brother, Rob (LouAnn) Ratashak of Ames; and very special niece and nephew, Robyn and Jerrad Kibsgaard.
He was preceded in death by his father, George, who died in 1986.
Jergan was born October 15, 1965, the son of George M. and Shirley (Knight) Ratashak in Mason City. He attended Ames High School. Jergan worked as manager at Speed Lube in Marion.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jergan?s memory.
