Jeremy Larry Shover

Jeremy L. Shover, 25, of Urbandale, formerly of Hopkinton, died Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines following complications of surgery.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2005 at Golden Congregational Church, rural Ryan by Pastor Mona Burns. Friends may call from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester and one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Golden Prairie Cemetery, rural Ryan.
Jeremy was born April 9, 1980 in Cedar Rapids, the son of James L. and Joyce C. (Wulff) Shover. He graduated from West Delaware High School in 1999. In May of 2004, Jeremy graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in computer science and business. He worked as a computer technician for the Principal Financial Group in Des Moines.
Jeremy was a member of Golden Congregational United Church of Christ in Ryan. He was a member of the National Honor Society and wrestled for West Delaware. Jeremy was a 4-H member for nine years. He belonged to the Sigma Chi fraternity at the University of Iowa. Jeremy enjoyed traveling and being with family and friends.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Jim and Joyce Shover of Hopkinton; a brother, Jim R. (Tina) Shover of Hopkinton; a sister, Jenny (Brian) Pettlon of Manchester; paternal grandmother, Frances Shover of Delhi; a niece, Alyssa Feldmann; a nephew, James E. Shover; aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special friend, Jocelyn Foster of Urbandale.
Jeremy was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jerald Shover; paternal grandfather, James R. Shover; and maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Elsie Wulff.
