Jennifer Lee Manson, 44, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at the United Methodist Church in Manchester.
Jennifer was born November 24, 1975, in Manchester, the daughter of Kent Gibbs and Edith “Ed” (McDill) Glasgow. She was united in marriage on May 19, 2012, at Backbone State Park to Theodore “Ted” Manson. Jennifer enjoyed coffee, Dr. Pepper with no ice, the Hallmark Channel, McDonalds, and traveling. She loved planting flowers, especially lilies, being outside, dream catchers, wolves and dragonflies. Jennifer was a very strong and independent individual. She was always taking care of her family, helping others, and spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Manson; children, James (Mariah) Ellison III, MeShell (Timothy) Ellison and Ian Manson, all of Manchester; father, Kent Gibbs of Delhi, Iowa; grandchildren, Lyric Labarge, Vickie Olson, and Esme Olson; siblings, Paul (Karmen) Heim, Candida (David) Gregorich, Angie Heim, Cassey Abell, and Chelsey Heim; her brother-in-law and best friend, Chuck Garlow of Manchester; and special family, Jim (Dad) and Cindy (Mom) Glasgow.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents; mother, “Ed”; her sister, Jessica Gibbs; and aunt, Deb Morehouse.
