Dr. Jeffrey J. Juhl, DO, 54, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018, at his home. Visitation: 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Jeff was born on April 12, 1964, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, to Arnie and Ruth Juhl of Cedar Rapids. After graduating from Jefferson High School in 1982, Jeff earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from The Des Moines University and completed his residency at The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Jeff’s career took him to Marshalltown Medical Center and Great River Medical Center in Burlington, which prepared him to lead Rushmore Pain & Medicine the past several years. Jeff served proudly in the Iowa Air National Guard for the past 25 years, and retired as Major. In his youth, Jeff was a member of the Cedar Rapids BMX. He recently helped them celebrate their 40th anniversary which he enjoyed very much. Jeff enjoyed riding his Harley and doting on his beautiful granddaughter.

Jeff is survived by his son, Zach and his wife Tara along with his granddaughter, Aurora of Phoenix, Arizona; friend, Cindy Sharpe and her daughter, Meldi of Burlington; parents, Arnie and Ruth; sisters, Connie (Ken) Hron of Fremont, Nebraska, Cathy Harper and Kimberly Suber of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Mike Juhl of Omaha, Nebraska and Bill Kubite of Cedar Rapids; three nieces, three nephews, aunts, uncle, several cousins, many friends, his employees and patients at Rushmore Pain & Medicine in Burlington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
