Jeffrey C. Jenney, 49, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital, in Cedar Rapids, following a short illness.
A gathering will be held from 3-6 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2008, at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Burial will be at a later date.
Survivors include his mother, Sandra Jenney of Cedar Rapids; one son, Kevin Jenney of Cedar Rapids; five siblings, John T. Jenney, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Jill (Tom) Barnhouse of Lansing, KS, Judi (Steve) Kell of Ft. Wayne, IN, James Jenney and Joe (Sheila) Jenney, both of Cedar Rapids; an aunt, Mary (Gary) Heins of Center Point; an uncle, Frank (Joleen) Watson of Cedar Rapids; great-aunt, Lorraine Woodson of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, John T. Jenney, Sr.; maternal grandparents, George & Dorothy Lipp; paternal grandparents, Frank & Clara Watson; and a sister-in-law, Michelle Jenney.
Jeff was born July 18, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John T. and Sandra J. (Lipp) Jenney. He enjoyed fishing, Frisbee golf, NASCAR, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Chicago Bears and Cubs. He enjoyed biking and the companionship of dogs. Jeff played softball and baseball, and as a young man enjoyed speed skating and boxing. He especially loved his family and will be dearly missed. Rest in peace Jeff ?" we love you.
