Jeanette Schrock (Ingebrigsten)

Jeanette Schrock, 75, of Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died there Sunday, July 6, 2008, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2008, at First Church of the Nazarene, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Timothy W. Carter and Rev. Charles Keyes. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., at the church on Saturday. Inurnment: Linwood Mausoleum at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Dianne (Dean) Haynes of Olathe, Kansas, David Schrock of Dallas, Texas and Dean (Ruth) Schrock of Vancouver, Washington; three granddaughters, Julianna, Stephanie and Danielle Haynes; half brother, Roy (Rachel) DeWitt of Cedar Rapids; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and extended family.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Daniel Schrock.
Jeanette was born January 12, 1933, in Escanaba, Michigan, the daughter of Emil and Ingrid (Strom) Ingebrigsten. On August 18, 1955, she was united in marriage to Daniel Schrock in Gladstone, Michigan. Jeanette was a nurse’s aide at St. Luke’s Hospital for 20 years.
Jeanette was a member of First Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years where she was active in Sunday school and Prime Timers activities. She enjoyed canning, cooking and taking care of her home where she enjoyed hosting friends and family. Singing and listening to Gospel music gave her great peace and comfort which she enjoyed throughout her life.
