Jean E. King, 79, formerly of 219 Morgan Street S.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, February 28, 2008, in Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, following a long illness. Memorial services at a later date at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her sister, Barbara Orton of Marion; sister-in-law, Patty King of Marion; niece, Lisa Gorbatjuk and husband Dan of Marion; great nephew, William Gorbatjuk; and great niece, Emma Gorbatjuk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Ella King; and two brothers, Harry King and a brother who died in infancy.
Jean was born December 27, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Clement) King. She retired after 40 years with McKesson Robins Drug Wholesale.
Jean was a wonderful artist and loved movies and her cats, Zippy and Freddy.
