Jean Carlson (Gray) Boothe, 89, of Marion, and formerly of Williamson, Iowa, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Family will greet friends from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, Chariton Cemetery, Chariton, Iowa.
Jean was born October 16, 1922, in Freeborn County, Minnesota, the daughter of John G. and Lillian (Carlson) Gray. On September 5, 1943, she was united in marriage to Paul Boothe. Paul died November 26, 2002.
Survivors include her children, John Boothe of Marion, Linda Boothe of Montgomery City, Mo, and Judy (John) Williams of Mason City; 3 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and sister.
