Janice “Jane” Ette, 73, of Center Point, Iowa passed away peacefully with her family by her side Saturday, January 17, 2015, after a lengthy illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, Iowa, conducted by Pastor John Caughron Sr. Family will greet friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Ette of Center Point; daughters, Andria (Vic) Jones of Center Point, Janine (Rich) Pasker of Vinton; “son”, Chris (Shelly) Troup of Center Point; step-sons, Michael V. Ette of Brandon, and Robert Ette of Marion; step-daughter, Tammy Rudd of Donnellson; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and very special friends, Roger and Barb Meister of Vinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a half-brother.
Jane was born on March 1, 1941, in Altoona, Iowa, daughter of Floyd and Mildred Irons. On August 5, 1978, she was married to Michael A. Ette at the First Christian Church in Center Point. Jane worked as a waitress for many years. She retired from the Pizza Place in 2006. Jane enjoyed watching and shopping the QVC Network.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
