Janice K. Estrem, 56, of 2400 Brockman Ave., Marion, died Monday, September 19, 2005, in her home from cancer. She is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2005, at New Covenant Bible Church in Cedar Rapids. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-six years, David; two sons, Shawn (Nancy) Estrem of Greenwood, Indiana, and Brent (Tamara) Estrem of Ames; four grandchildren, Makenzie, Brandon, Madison and Forrest; her mother, Martha Teetshorn of Decorah; a brother, Al (Robin) Teetshorn of Des Moines; and a sister, Joan Olson of Fort Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Janice was born the daughter of Roy Vance Teetshorn and Martha Fae (Dotzenrod) Teetshorn on November 21, 1948, in Cresco, Iowa. She married David Michael Estrem on August 23, 1969 in Decorah. Janice was a member of New Covenant Bible Church and was also a discussion leader for Bible Study Fellowship International. She was a volunteer at Aid to Women, where she helped organize and lead C.A.T.S. (Concerned About Teen Sexuality.)

A memorial fund has been established for Aid to Women, Bible Study Fellowship International or the American Cancer Society in Janice?s memory.
