Janet F. Kepler, 63, a resident of Shellrock Care Center, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, November 13, 2011, at the care center. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial: St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Urbana.
Survivors include her children, James Kepler, Jr., Jody Ginther and Julie (Doug) Bluhm; her grandchildren, Ashley Ginther, Anthony Ginther, Kenneth J. Ginther, Eric Bluhm, Jeremy Ginther, Katie Kepler, Elizabeth Bluhm and Hunter Kepler; one brother; four sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James.
Janet was born December 16, 1947, the daughter of Elmer and Beulah (Lint) Neal, in Shellsburg, Iowa. On May 29, 1965, she was united in marriage to James Kepler. He died June 26, 2010. A homemaker, Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
