Janet Lee (Jan) Lohman, 74, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Thursday, November 12, 2009. Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion, Iowa, by Rev. H. Burr Bryant. Inurnment: Friends Cemetery, Whittier, Iowa.
Jan was born April 29, 1935, in Marion, Iowa, to Lawrence and Esther (Bedell) Goodyear. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1953 and attended Kirkwood Community College. She worked for many years as an office manager and accountant, and later in computer software training both in Cedar Rapids and Indianapolis, IN.
She married Richard H. Lohman of Cedar Falls, IA in 1988.
In 1995, she and husband Richard retired from Indianapolis to the Sunland Village Community in Mesa, AZ. There, Jan was active with many of the community groups and also a member of the National Autumn Leaf Collectors Club and TOPS chapters in the area. She enjoyed antiquing, traveling, and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her children, Mike (Mary) Vosdingh of Cedar Rapids, Dave Vosdingh of Cedar Rapids, and Steve (Cheryl) Vosdingh of Granite Falls, NC; step-children, Joe (Chris) Lohman of Indianola, Mark (Chris) Lohman of Waterloo, and Adrienne Aguiar of Columbia, CA; grandchildren, Alex Vosdingh, Austin Vosdingh, and Jacob Vosdingh; step-grandchildren, Shaunna Lovitt, James Aguiar, Willie Aguiar, and Tony Aguiar; step-great grandchildren Emily Aguiar, Jamie Lovitt, and Ava Lovitt. Also surviving is her brother, Bob (Janice) Goodyear of Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard H. Lohman, and her sister Mary Jo Eilers (Goodyear).
