Janet M. Cejka, 61, 1302 9th Street N.W., died Tuesday morning November 19, 2002 in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following sudden illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2002, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2002 at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Albert; her children, Julie Taylor and husband Mike of Anamosa; Charles Cejka and wife Jill of Marion, Tina Manternach of Monticello and Tim Cejka of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren Heather Taylor, Emily Cejka, Allyson and Benjamin Manternach; three brothers, Arnold Heck and wife Edna of Cedar Rapids, Donald Heck and wife Joan of Vinton, Gary Heck of Hiawatha; a sister, Shirley Heck of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles Heck; and a son-in-law, Ted Manternach.
She was born January 21, 1941 in Iowa City to Ursil and Hilda Seiler Heck. On July 20, 1968 in Cedar Rapids she was united in marriage to Albert Charles Cejka. She was a long time dialysis patient. Janet loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had a heart of gold and touched many lives.
