Jane Ellen Hansen Williams, 61, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, February 27, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospital’s and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, David Williams; step-children, Shelene (Toran), Nathan (Callie) and Sam; step-grandson, Christopher; brother, Kerry (Susan) Hansen; niece, Erin (fiancé Shae) Hansen; many other loved ones; and her dog, Pookie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jane was born on April 18, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Kenneth and June (Weaver) Hansen. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1972. Jane married David Williams. She worked at the University of Iowa Hospitals in the research department. Jane always put others first and she had a special gift of helping and caring for the elderly, and truly enjoyed it. She also enjoyed making jewelry and working on crafts. Jane loved collecting rocks and crystals. Jane will always be remembered as a sweet, caring person and she will be greatly missed.
