Jane E. Conrad, 84, of 2931 Ellis Rd. NW, died Friday, January 3, 2002, in her home. Services: 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2003, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2003, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include a son, Charles Conrad of Cedar Rapids; three daughters, Roberta Armstrong and husband Roderick of Peace Valley, Missouri, Joanna Schanz and husband Norman of West Amana, Iowa, and Carla Siedel of Davenport, Iowa, son-in-law, Bob Wade of Fairfax, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Maney of Southport, Connecticut; and a brother, Elmer Grissel, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and a daughter, Patricia Wade.
Jane was born July 17, 1918, the daughter of Elmer and Sadie (Koehler) Grissel, Sr., in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, she married Robert Conrad on April 29, 1939. Jane retired as bookkeeper/treasurer of Grissel Company, Inc. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Jane.
