Jamie Ann Grommon, 51, of Hiawatha, died Wednesday, August 03, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital. A gathering will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Larry (Becky) Wolfe, Jr. of Hiawatha; three grandchildren, Kelsey Lee-Wolfe, Austyn Lee, and Addyson McBride; two sisters, Shirley (Errol) Lindsey of Cedar Rapids and Deborah McNeill of Cedar Rapids; and two brothers, Dieter (Uschi) Kuntze of Berlin, Germany, and Herb (Dilyn) McNeill of Vinton. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a lifelong childhood friend, Julie Himes.
Jamie was born September 3, 1959, the daughter of James and Lisa (Schluter) McNeill in Cedar Rapids. She attended Wilson and Jefferson High Schools. Jamie worked in convenience stores and in customer service in area hotels.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
