James Ernest Terhune, 56, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015. Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with visitation one hour prior to service. Inurnment will be at Linwood Cemetery.
Survivors include, his mother, Peggy Mulholland of Marion, and step-father, Jim of Oelwein; his Father, Ernest Terhune and step-mother, Linda of Shepherdsville, KY; sister, Nancy (Greg) Kintzle of Delhi; brother, Robert (Dorothy) Terhune of Canton, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Terhune; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
James was born January 5, 1959 in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Ernest Terhune and Margaret “Peggy” (Murray) Terhune. He graduated from Washington High School. James was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. In his group home he worked at the Options Learning Center. He then moved to Davenport and lived at Rem. James loved playing pool, bowling, birthday parties, woodworking and watching T.V.
