James B. Stelken

James “Coon” Stelken, 63, of Delaware, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 5, 2022, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester, Iowa. Visitation for James will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester, Iowa. Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
James was born on June 14, 1959, the son of Jerome and Martha (Diesburg) Stelken. He graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1977. James married Kathy Weber in 1984, in Delhi, Iowa; and two children were born into this union. He worked as a over the road Semi Driver. James enjoyed working on classic cars, NHRA Racing, listening to Rock Music and most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Jesse Stelken, of Iowa City, Iowa, Jamie (Brad) O’Connell of Parkersburg, Iowa; three grandchildren, Kenley, Hayley, Owen; and siblings, Jan and Calvin Pugh of Strawberry Point, Iowa, Sandy and Keith Rohwedder of Mechanicsville, Iowa, Pam and Stacy Lewis of Marion, Iowa, and Rick and Tammy Stelken of Delhi, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Martha Stelken; and mother and father-in-law, Bob and Shirley Weber.
