James "Jim" Robert Siechert

James “Jim” Robert Siechert, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully Monday, January 05, 2015, at Emeritus at Silver Pines, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2015, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial Czech National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include children, Jean (Brian) Teymer and Andrew Siechert; grandchildren, Trenton, Breezy, Bret and Logan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Bobby; and sister, Barb Smith.
Jim was born on August 10, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of William and Hazel (Dietrich) Siechert. He graduated from Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids. Jim worked at Rockwell Collins as an engineer for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors and on the lake.
