James Richard Schillig

James R. Schillig, 50, of Marion, Iowa, died Thursday, August 13, 2009, at his home, following a long illness. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his children, Megan, of Cedar Falls, Ryan, of Marion, and Jessica Boyles of Center Point; his father, Gary, of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Jeanice (Roy) (Seabrook) Weirich; 3 grandchildren, Grace, Austyn, and Corey, and one on the way; 4 sisters, Mimi (Rich) Moore of Sloan, Iowa, Heidi (Dave) Goehmann of Ohio, Kelly (Jamie) of Worth, Missouri, and Chandra (Tom) Alsop of Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
James was born September 25, 1958, the son of Gary F. Schillig and Jeanice (Seabrook) Weirich, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He married Jennifer Wheeler in 1987. They had 2 children, Megan & Ryan. They later divorced. James attended Kirkwood Community College and Upper Iowa University.

James was a kind and caring dad who was always willing to give whatever he could. He will be greatly missed.
