James J. Klein, Jr. of 5481 Wyoming Drive SW, passed away on November 8, 2015. The family invites you to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Porky’s, 4617 J Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, from 2-5 p.m. Private Graveside Service to be held at Linwood Cemetery
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Pearson (David Elliott); three sons, Kevin (Cindy) Klein, Kent (Maggie) Klein, Keith (Kim) Klein, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers, Bill Klein of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Robert Klein of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Evelyn Wilkinson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, James J. Klein Sr. and Ruby (Anderson) Klein; his wife, Mary Charlene (Hamilton) Klein in 1988; son in-law, Al Pearson in 2006; and brother, Oliver Klein in 2010.
James was born on June 24, 1930, in Mount Vernon, Iowa. He married Mary Charlene Hamilton on January 4, 1951. James served in the Air Force from 1947-1950. James retired in 1985 from Local 238 Teamsters Union, Local 43 Laborers Union.
