James Frederick "Jim" Teachout

James “Jim” Frederick Teachout, 76, a resident of Crestview Acres Nursing Home, formerly of Moundview Manor, Marion, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at the nursing home. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion, with a luncheon to follow. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Joan H. Teachout of Marion; step-children, Laurie (Richard) Moritz of Cedar Rapids, James Steichen (Dr. Carol Lang) of Slayton, MN, Sherie Zamora of Denver, CO, Cathy Williams of Oskaloosa; step-grandchildren, Tommy and Laura Steichen of Slayton, MN, Eric Jon Bernal, currently serving with the U.S. Coast Guard, Chad O’Neill, Teresa Seifert, Andrew Seifert, and Chris Seifert, all of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-son, Brad Zamora of Cedar Rapids.
