James K. "Jim? Jones, 54, of 5285 Winnebago Ave., Marion, died Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, of injuries received in an automobile accident. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church in Marion by the Rev. Howard Chapman. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include his wife, Angi; his children, Amanda Jones of Cedar Rapids, Josh Jones of Hiawatha, and BreAnne Jones and Haley Jones, both of Marion; his grandson and "best buddy,? Landyn; and his siblings, Janice (Ralph) Graham of Waterloo, Betty (Neil) Beck of Dike, Bill (Grace Bandy) Jones of Texas and Kaye (Pete) Sells of Lakeland, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dan Jones; and a nephew, Monte Beck.

Jim was born the son of William and Doris (Pritchard) Jones on May 3, 1952, in Waterloo, Iowa. He was a graduate of Janesville High School. Jim married Paula Muse in 1977, and they later divorced. In 1988, Jim and Angela Smith were married in Waterloo, where Jim had been employed at Bearing Service. Currently, Jim was an outside sales manager for Precision Industries in Cedar Rapids.

He was an elder and deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Marion, where he had been a member since 1993. Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing, mushroom hunting, watching Iowa Hawkeye sports and Chicago Bears football, and spending time with his family. He was the best husband, dad and grandpa ever.
