James Donald Harriman

James D. Harriman, 73, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion, died September 27, 2007 at the care center. Private family services will be held. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion Iowa.
Survivors include his children, Robert Harriman of Woodbury, Minnesota, Julie Speich & Dave Spurgin of Marion, Iowa, and Jody (Paula) Harriman of Davenport, Iowa.
Other survivors include one brother, Richard (Delores) Harriman of Hudson, Iowa; six grandchildren, Jim Speich, Matt, Megan, Nick, Lauren, and Madison Harriman; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold and Bobby.
James was born on June 29, 1934 in Oelwein, the son of Donald and Laura (Higgins) Harriman. He was employed at Quaker Oats until his retirement. James also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

A Memorial Fund has been established in James’ memory.
