James E. Green, Sr. 65, of Oxford, formerly of Cedar Rapids, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 21, 2004, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 25, 2004, at First Assembly of God, Cedar Rapids by Pastors Larry Sohn and Rick Gail. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy (Carrie) Green, Jr. of Tiffin; his mother, Frances Rose Green of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Sandy (Mark) Siechert of Alburnett, Elizabeth (Jack) Osborn of Toddville and Fran Stone of Cedar Rapids; a brother, John (Carla) Green of Cedar Rapids, four grandchildren, Randy, Jimmy III, Angel and Aryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
James was born December 13, 1938, in Cedar Rapids. He was a heavy equipment operator. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for James.
