James Doherty, 83, of Tucson, Arizona died Friday, October 26, 2012, at Heritage Manor, Catalina, Arizona. Inurnment: Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville, Iowa at a later date. Arrangements by: Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Karen of Tucson, Arizona; children, Mary Carter of Paso Robles, California, Travis Green of Vinton, Iowa; Garo Green of Rancho Mirage, California and Eric Rominger of Camarillo, California; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Julia Doherty and a sister, Ann Caswell.
James was born on July 18, 1929, in Los Angeles, California, son of James Joseph and Julia (Sullivan) Doherty. He married Karen Green on December 20, 1975, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict retiring as Major. James was an Attorney for 40 years and a Judge for the State of California for 10 years.
