Jake David Kochuyt, 4, of Alburnett, Iowa, died Friday, November 18, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2005, at Toddville Free Methodist Church, Toddville, Iowa, by the Revs. Doug Morris, Mark Jenkins and Dan Peterson. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett. Friends may call at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, from 2 - 6 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors include his parents, Chris and Patty (Jenkins) Kochuyt, sister, Heather Stolarz and a brother, Matt Stolarz, all of Alburnett.
Also surviving are his maternal grandfather, Charles Jenkins of Gilbertville, Iowa; paternal grandparents, Robert and Melinda Kochuyt of Ladora, Iowa; great-grandmothers, Margaret Kochuyt and Velma Hubbell, both of Victor, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Margaret Jenkins; great-grandparents, Raphael and Anna Mae Michaels and Vernal and Nora Jenkins; and paternal great-grandparents, Albert Kochuyt and Leonard Hubbell.
Jake was born on November 17, 2001, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He enjoyed semis of all sizes and shapes, especially riding with his dad, and loved rides on his Grandpa Bob?s tractor. Jake always wanted to go "work? with Dad. Jake also enjoyed camping and the simple things in life, like nights spent at home with Patty. He was very compassionate and giving, even at his young age. Jake had his mom?s red hair, which made her so proud. He took a daily walk with Mom and loved to sit with her and give hugs to everyone. "Bob the Builder?, "Thomas the Train?, "George of the Jungle?and "Smokey and the Bandit? were his favorites.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Jake Kochuyt Memorial Fund.
