Jacquelyn “Jackie” Jean Freilinger, 81, of Vinton, Iowa, formerly of Central City, died at home Friday, August 7, 2015. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Central City. Visitation: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015, with a rosary service beginning at 7:30 p.m. all at the church. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include her husband, Keith M. Freilinger; children David (Tammy) Freilinger of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Steven (Karen) Freilinger of North Buena Vista, Iowa, Diane (Peter) Brecht of Central City, Jeffrey (Kelly) Freilinger of Swisher, Jean (Danny) Helmrich of Powell, Tennessee, and Sarah Freilinger of Des Moines; eighteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie Loveland and Gertrude Loveland Zobeck; and a son, Ron Freilinger.
Jackie was born in Waukon, Iowa, on June 1, 1934, the daughter of Leslie and Gertrude Loveland. She graduated from Waukon High School. On August 22, 1953, she married the love of her life, Keith M. Freilinger in Denver, Colorado. They were married for nearly 62 years. Jackie enjoyed time at their winter home in Mission, Texas. She also enjoyed daily walks on her farm and time with family. She will be greatly missed.
