Jack Luke, 73, of 3609 Pine Wood Drive NE, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Center Point, died Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at St. Luke?s Hospital due to the complications of Alzheimers. Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Inurnment: Center Point Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; their children, Deb (Steve) Hefflefinger of Solon, Mike (Deb) Luke of Cedar Rapids, John (Marie) Luke of Central City, Andy (Renee) Luke of LaPorte City, Tom Luke of Omaha, Nebraska, Jamie Luke of Cedar Rapids, Vickie Hocken of Center Point, Traci (Brad) Nolan of Van Horne and Tammie Benson of Bloomington, Minnesota.
Also surviving are many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a brother, Terry (Orva) Luke of Fairfax; and sisters, Sue (David) Runde of Marion and Sandra (Ray) Sturm of Shellsburg.
Jack was born March 18, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John and Genevieve "Jenny? (Jacque) Luke. In November 1969, Jack was united in marriage to Mary (Webster) Luke. Jack worked for Beltone for over 30 years and then managed National Beauty Supply. He served in the National Guard and the US Army. He was a very avid hunter and fisherman.
